It’s good if you already know these Chords. I am going to let you know some tips and tricks that will make guitar playing easier and smoother.

The 8 Guitar Chords that we are going to discuss in this article are G major, C major, D major, F major, E major, A major, E minor, and A minor. If you are worried because it’s hard to remember all of these Chords in a single lesson then you are wrong.

When you will start practicing them daily, it would be easy for you to play any song on the Guitar.

Before moving forward, let me tell you that you should bring your hands up to the guitar and behave like you have something shaped like an apple. This will help you to make easy postures while playing chords.

After doing that, put your thumb on the guitar and relax.

  1. G Major Chord

If you are G Major Chord then without any doubt you can use 1st, 2nd, and 3rd fingers or else, you can also use 2nd, 3rd and 4th fingers. I would like to suggest you to use 2nd, 3rd and 4th fingers.

  1. C Major Chord

It’s time to jump to the C Major Chord. You need to put your 3rd finger on the 3rd fret of the A string, your 1st finger on the 1st fret of the B string, and your 2nd finger on the 2nd fret of the D string.

While strumming, make sure to play only 5 strings muting the low E strings.

  1. D Major Chord

We will now talk about the d Major Chord. Place your 1st finger on the 2nd fret of the G string, 2nd finger on the 2nd fret of the high E string, and your 3rd finger on the 3rd fret of the B string.

While strumming, you will have to leave the low E and A out. After doing that, you just need to do strumming with the first 4 strings.

  1. F Major Chord

 There are many Guitar players who are scared to play this Chord. The reason why they do so is that they used to play as a bar chord. Let me tell you that this is one of the easiest Guitar chords as it’s only a 3 note chord.

You just need to put your 3rd finger on the 3rd fret of the D string, 2nd finger on the 2nd fret of the G string, and 1st finger on the 1st fret of the B string. While strumming, make sure that you are only hitting the mentioned strings.

  1. E Major Chords

 To play the E Major Chord, you need to put your 2nd finger on the 2nd fret of the A string, 1st finger on the 1st fret of the G string, and your 3rd finger on the 2nd fret of the D string. For this chord, you will need to play all the strings of the Guitar.

Don’t forget to come right down on your fingertips and close behind the fret as much as you can.

  1. A Major Chords

To play the A Major Chords, place your 1st finger on the 2nd fret of the D string, your 3rd finger on the 2nd fret of the B string, and your 2nd finger on the 2nd fret of the G guitar string

It might be a little challenging to play this chord because you may have to place the fingers in very little space on the 2nd fret

While playing this Chord, just strum the top 5 strings while leaving the low E string of the guitar.

  1. E Minor Chord

You can easily play the E Minor Chord just by making the shape of the E major Chord and then remove your index finger from the guitar strings. This is all you want to do to play E minor Chord.

  1. A Minor Chord

This is the last Chord that we are going to let you know. To play this Chord, you just need to place your second finger on the 2nd fret of the D string, 1st finger on the 1st fret of the B string, and 3rd finger on the 2nd fret of the G string.

You just need to strum the top 5 strings while leaving the low E strings out.
